Hello,
I’m trying to understand how descriptions works on beds24 for a few days now.
We have many descriptions at different levels : property/room/channel/specific channel.
On airBnb side, we have only 2 fields :
– « Description du logement »(Listing Description)
– « Mon logement »(Your property)
As you can see I’m using french language.
My problem :
I tried various combinations to figure out how the mappings work, but I got unpredictable results.
subsequent problem : when I check Listing details/view content, I assume this is the one beds24 push to airBnb:
but at the end I see a different content from the one on airBnb
Other thing, It seems information comes from various sources depending which room I choose and wich information is filled or not..
I did some screenshots to show the process from my side using the room « C1 » :
1 – clicking on channel mapping/update/descriptions/view content :
2 – clicking on channel mapping/update/descriptions/view content :
3 – Channel Manager / AirBnB Specific Content :
4 – Channel Manager / Property Content / Room Content
5 – Channel Manager / Property Content
seems my « Listing Description » is coming from « location » textfield ??
Please, is there a place where I can find the exact mapping and priorities and maybe some overide with :
beds24 descriptions fields -> airBnb fields
like :
p3 Channel Manager / Property Content -> airBnb « Your property »
p2 Channel Manager / Property Content / Room Content -> airBnb « Your property »
p1 Channel Manager / AirBnB Specific Content -> airBnb « Your property »
o1 Channel Manager / Property Content / Location -> airBnb « Listing Description »
Thanks,
Max

After tests and updates, let me show you what I got – first beds24 side :
now what I see on AiBnb :
The text in « Mon logement » seems to come from nowhere since I tagged each field on beds24/channel content and this one is NOT tagged.
I have this text only on properties/setup/booking engine text.. this one :
I still don’t know how to map the airBnb last description field.
11H50 – SOLUTION :
Airbnb uses a platform called Channelsync to synchronize data with channel managers. After numerous tests and in consultation with the Airbnb agent, I had to follow these steps:
-Disconnect Beds24 from Airbnb
-Reconnect Beds24 to Airbnb
-Reactivate Channelsync for the specific room
-Update the room descriptions
The process wasn’t straightforward, and the Airbnb agent went beyond his usual scope by helping diagnose the channel manager connection rather than focusing solely on Airbnb-related issues. However, this worked.
Now, everything is functioning as described in the documentation.
